What are the three stages and what does each do?
Stage 1 (sediment) captures sand, dirt, rust and particles. Stage 2 (catalytic carbon) reduces chlorine, chloramine, bad tastes and odors. Stage 3 (scale inhibitor) helps reduce hard water scale on fixtures, water heaters and appliances, without salt.
Does this system need salt, electricity or a drain line?
No. It's salt-free, needs no electricity and needs no drain line or backwash. That makes it low-maintenance and easy to place on the main water line.
How is this different from your Clack salt-free conditioner?
The Pentair system combines three stages in one: sediment filtration, catalytic carbon for chlorine and chloramine, and a scale inhibitor. Our Clack salt-free conditioner focuses on scale protection only. If you want cleaner, better-tasting water and scale protection with no salt, the Pentair system covers both.
Is installation included in the price?
